Features of the FTIR Multiscope

The FTIR Multiscope Spectrum 100T is a system that can automatically probe the localized infrared spectroscopy of test specimens in various forms such as solids, liquids, gels, slurries, powders, films, etc. The spectrum can be used to identify (1) chemical composition, (2) possible physical interactions between materials, and (3) contaminants on a PCB board. It is particular useful in characterizing ceramic-polymer composites.

  • Wavelength range        => 8,300-350 cm-1
  • Spectral resolution      => 0.4 cm-1 for the 3028 cm-1 band in Methane
  • Wavelength precision => 0.01 cm-1 at 2,000 cm-1

  • IR performance
               =>  Better than 9000/1 p-p, 45,000/1 rms signal-to-noise,
                       measured using a 100 μm diameter aperture, 4 cm-1resolution,
                       2 minutes collection time, 2200 – 2000 cm-1, and
                       medium-band MCT detector.
  • Apertures  => Measure samples down to 10 x 10 μm
